What Mayor Moya Did for Her Birthday

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and it’s also the Mayor of Belize City’s birthday – and the last one of this term. And since nothing is guaranteed, she spent it performing an act of charity: feeding the homeless at the Raymond Parks Night Shelter.

“We will be feeding the homeless today as well as those who are less fortunate. It is not only for Valentine’s Day as you said it is an expression of love and it is something that we like to do because I want to give back, especially around my birthday time to the homeless and to those in need. So it is to coincide with my birthday which will be tomorrow.”

Beres Hammond was scheduled to join the mayor but that never materialized.
