“Make it rain” – it’s a popular phrase borrowed from the world of hip hop – where in music videos rappers “make it rain” by throwing money everywhere. And that’s just the point, we see it in music videos because it doesn’t happen in real life. After all, who has money to throw away, right? Except someone did, and it happened today in Belize City. Sounds incredible but it’s true, today free money was being thrown in the air on new road. Multiple witnesses tell us that a man on a bike was throwing hundred dollar bills onto the street this morning. We spoke one of those witnesses off camera. She too thought it was too good to true.

“We were opening the store this morning and we saw this fellow come on a bike and we saw like paper was dropping but we didn’t think anything of it. So when a vehicle came by and it blow up the paper we saw it was money and everybody who was around got all excited and jumped on the money like flies and we just saw the man continue his merry way and that was about it.”

“No not really. I wasn’t really interested.”

I’m sure you’ve never seen something like this.

“No but it is nothing to get all excited about. I just laughed after the people who jumped over the money like fly, that is about it.”
