A Field Day For Bze Dist. Farmers

And while our team was up north, the Minister of Agriculture took a trip from Orange Walk to the Belize District for an agricultural field day. He was joined by the representative for this high-density farming area, Marconi Leal.

The purpose of the trip was for the minister to become more acquainted with the farmers and the various crops grown in the area.

Included in this was a visit was to Jim Jones' hydroponic farm in Lord's Bank which produces lettuce, kale, and fennel.

After the tours, Minister Mai and Leal committed to addressing the issues raised, which included road access and land tenure.
