All this is brewing just as the new fiscal year is beginning. It started today, April first, but there's still no new budget. That's because of the extended negotiations between the Joint Union Negotiating team and the government over a wage cut are still ongoing. Those talks will continue through the weekend, on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

So, the new budget will be presented on Friday April 9th, which means that government and the unions only have 8 days left to figure out how they are going to save 80 million dollars in recurrent expenses.

After the budget is presented next Friday, it will be debated on April 22nd and 23rd.
