Tonight, each Belizean Municipality is the proud owner of a brand new mural.

The colorful, vibrant, and above all patriotic murals were commissioned to showcase artistic talent, as well as to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Belize's Independence.

Belize City's mural is the work of three artists, including muralist Chelsea Johnston.

Here's more on her contribution to the NCC's Municipal Mural Project:

And painting right alongside Chelsea was Alex Sanker. He's the bridge foot artist who says patriotism runs through his veins, but this week Sanker put paintbrush to that pronouncement.

He says it's a way to commemorate the past while giving the City a vibrant reminder of Belizeans who've made their mark.

We caught up with him at Rodgers stadium, where we found him putting some final touches on his rendition of Froyla Tzalam:

And as we told you at the top of this story works of art now decorate communities from north to south, east to west in celebration of Belize
