And keeping it on the kids - when was the last time you played with marbles? Just hearing the words might bring back memories of primary school; the triumph of winning a game or the heartbreak of forfeiting your favorite marble.
Well, this Saturday, kids will have a chance to win more than just marbles. A competition has been organized for tomorrow afternoon that will have some children walking away with up to $100. Community Activist Shane Williams explained to us how he came up with the idea of hosting a marble competition.
Registration starts at 1pm, with the actual games starting at 1:30. There will be three categories, Under 9 and Under 12, where the winner will get $50, and the Under 17, and that winner will be taking home $100. Additionally, they will be getting school bags and supplies. And light food and refreshments will be provided for the children.
