Today, hundreds of police officers, street figures, and family members gathered for the funeral of William Dawson at the Belize-Mexico Centre in Belize City this afternoon. As we've told you before, Dawson was a priest of peace, spending his life trying to quell the city's gun violence, but more importantly, trying to improve the lives of at-risk youths.

Dawson passed away last week but he was remembered today by everyone whose lives he had touched - from the officers and government officials he worked alongside, to the gang bosses he tried to help.

And now, the police department will have to find someone to fill his shoes - but according to the ComPol, there is no other William Dawson.
