As we told you in our first segment, a new poll shows John Saldivar way ahead of his opponents in the UDP Belmopan convention race. But, every time a poll comes out - especially one like this - we tend to question the integrity and intentions of the person putting it out.

In this case it's an assistant professor at UB, and he has been polling for some time. One year ago he did an approval rating for the mayor and area rep in the city of Belmopan where he lives. One year later, they're badly off.

We discussed his findings about them and Saldivar today via zoom:

And John Saldivar looks like he's riding those torpedoes! The poll projects him getting three quarters of the votes in Sunday's Belmopan convention. Here are those results:

We also asked Castillo about his technique. Belmopan is among the largest constituencies in the country - with 9,400 voters and he sent a questionnaire to 168 persons. He explained this math:

Castillo said his prediction of the general election outcome in Dangriga was dead on - and he expects the same on Sunday. We'll see how it goes.
