Dr. Corinth Morter-Lewis Confirms Her Departure from UB

It's been rumored for weeks now but today University of Belize President Dr. Corinth Morter-Lewis formally announced that she is on her way out. Morter-Lewis told a meeting of her heads of departments and student body representatives this morning in Belmopan that she has been asked to step down and she will comply.

A student representative told us that Morter-Lewis doesn't seem inclined to fight for her job so they won't resist the change. Morter-Lewis has been President of UB for an often tumultuous four years.
