New Chief Education Officer Is Education Veteran

A little over two weeks after former Chief Education Officer Carol Babb was terminated, the Ministry of Education has selected a replacement: she is career educator Yolanda Gongora.

Gongora holds a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida and has over thirty years of service in education in the country. She has worked as a teacher, principal, and former Director of General School Services at MOE. The release says, quote, "Gongora has demonstrated her dedication to the provision of efficient and effective educational service." End quote.

In the city, she is perhaps most well known as former headmistress.
