Gilroy Gives Back

And over on the Southside, kids in the Port Loyola Division will be benefiting from area rep, Gilroy Usher's back to school program. And as a way to give back to the community, the Port of Belize Limited donated $3,000 dollars to the program, which Usher says will be used for school supplies.

Earlier today, he explained how the recipients are chosen.

And that's not all, this weekend there will be a Trimming Drive at the YMCA on Faber's Road. It's for those parents who may not have the money to afford a back-to-school haircut for their kids, and they'll also get a chance to get extra school supplies. Two volunteers from the drive explained more.

The drive will take place on the 27th and 28th August.
