And finally tonight, this past weekend, the University of Belize held its first in person graduation since the start of the pandemic. It was held at the Civic Center on Saturday and 1,145 Graduates were honored at the certificate, diploma, associate's and bachelor's level.
And at the ceremony, the featured speaker was Justice of Appeal, Michelle Arana. During her speech, she gave some encouraging words to the graduates and commended them for their hard work and dedication.
And UB also awarded two honorary doctorate degrees, one to Gerald "Lord" Rhaburn and the other to former PM, Said Musa, for their immeasurable contributions to the country.

UB also conferred a posthumous Bachelor Degree in Public Sector Management on James Christopher Marin, who passed away just before his last class. The degree was received by Marin's son.
