Belize High School Robotics Team Makes History

The Belize High School robotics team has made history as the first Caribbean team to win gold at the FIRST Global Challenge - an international robotics competition that spans 7 days. But even though the competition lasts for a week, the robotics team have spent months preparing and engineering their robot - and all that hard work paid off when they were announced the winners.

Today, the team of five touched down at the PGIA, ready to celebrate with their friends and family. Courtney Menzies was there for their arrival and has this story.

The team and their principal is encouraging students who may have an interest in STEM subjects to consider joining BHS and expanding their robotics program.
