And from an art exhibition at an Anglican High School to a career day at St John's Vianney RC Primary school, we stopped by today to learn about the importance of career week at this institution - and share some knowledge on a career in journalism.
Kareesh Archer, Teacher, St John Vianney

"So the purpose of the career week here at SJV is basically to have the kids have a jump start on their future career whereby they could set their goals and implement some strategies in order to reach these career opportunities now."
"Today we had were blessed with the presence of mayor Wagner also Mr Howell Gillet from the police department and of course channel 7 you guys as well. And then yesterday we had some visitors from Bowen and Bowen and we also had representatives from St John's Credit Union as well."
"We have to work with all 60 students so we give each of them their time as well as the guest speakers and besides them planning and having that goal prep it also prepares them for secondary school where they are going to be doing a lot of group and individual presentations as well as doing that tech part whereby they will be doing power points and all of that because it is not only about the presentation but also about the background knowledge and them preparing these power points as well on their own so."

Aiden Harris, St John's Vianney RC school
"For career week I am a biologist a type of scientist that studies the life aspect of things on earth."
"I love everything that is related to life and that exists because it has created everything on earth so far."
