Keeping Fishers Safe On The Seas

The Fisheries Department today received a donation of satellite equipment and a tracking monitoring system from the Taiwanese Embassy. This equipment will go a long way in ensuring the safety of fishers, who are often under the threat of pirates, as well as to assist in conserving Belize's marine ecosystem. Today, the Minister of the Blue Economy, Andre Perez, spoke more about how this equipment fits perfectly into the ministry's strategic plans.
