Another Wildcat Lost: Ocelot Knocked Down On Highway

Another wildcat has been found dead on the highway - after being knocked down. This morning we received this picture of an Ocelot killed on Western Highway between San Ignacio and Benque Viejo.

Area residents tell us that there has been an explosion of truck traffic on the road as well as speeding taxis.

The current road project includes the lighting of that entire road approximately 7 miles from San Ignacio to Benque, and lights will start going in soon.
