121 households in Yemeri Grove Punta Gorda now have access to reliable water services thanks to a new water system, installed by The Ministry of Rural Transformation and UNICEF. The project entails a new production well, a structurally elevated reservoir and a submersible pump with integrated components that connects the distribution network to BEL's power system. This significantly improves 24/7 water access for residents alleviating previous difficulties with shared water access. Here are the highlights from today's inauguration ceremony.

"We had Laguna and Yemeri grove connected and of course there was the need you know to expand the system and to ensure that Yemeri grove had a very reliable system 24 hours a day and I will say to you this is the third system the third tower that we have constructed as a ministry. The first one was done in tower hill Orange walk and then the second one we did was in Medina Bank. And the third one is here in Yemeri grove. We feel proud of this great accomplishment and work in which we can serve our students, our young children and our fellow Belizeans and that is what we do. We wake up everyday and thank god that he wakes us up and we ask ourselves what are going to do today to make life better for all Belizeans."
