A 6-year-old Infant One St. Mary's student is at the KHMH tonight recovering after a bus ran over his foot. The boy's mother says she came in to the city from Lord's Bank at around 7:15 on Saturday morning and as she got off the bus along with her two children, it ran over her son's left foot.

Mother,
"We came to town and we came off at the Pound Yard Bridge to pick up some last minute things and when we came off from his bus, before we came off his bus he nearly crashed with us three times on the highway, so we came down and the drivers are supposed to park on the side of the street by the sidewalk so you can get off and walk, not by the HL's side. But he didn't do that, he parked on the side that HL's was on. He told us this is the last stop and so I was opening the prom because I had my young baby in my hand and I was opening the prom. By the time I could have opened the prom to put in my young baby, he drove up and when he drove up, because he was talking to another driver on the same side of the bus so he wasn't looking at who was beside his wheel, so a taximan had to holler to tell him to look at what he was doing. But he didn't look, he just drove past and ran over my boy's foot. He told me he didn't run over my baby's foot because if he had ran over my baby's foot, my baby's foot would have been broken up but my baby has a fractured bone in his foot. So I want to know why he'll tell he didn't run over my baby's foot when my baby's foot has a lot of damage on it. My baby foot is bruised up on the inside. If you watch my baby's foot, it has blisters which were caused by the bus."

Doctors are waiting for the swelling to go down so that they can determine if a cast will be put on the boy's leg. As for the driver, we were unable to confirm if he as been charged for the incident.
