The National Aids Commission (NAC) is once again warning employers that an HIV test cannot be a mandatory requirement on a job application. Earlier this year, the Commission first raised the first alarm about an entertainment chain which was requiring that their prospective employees submit results of an HIV test. It appears that that business as well as others continue to request test results hence the reason for the warning. The NAC says that under the national aids policy discrmination is not allowed. If you were required to get an HIV test for a job, the National Aids Commission wants to hear from you.
