Yesterday evening on Ask The Experts Director of Health Services Dr., Marvin Manzanero said that there were 37 new cases coming out of the latest batch of samples. What he didn't say was that there were only 115 tests taken, that means that one in three tests was positive, resulting in a positivity rate of 33%.

Of those new cases, 26 are from Orange Walk, including 10 in the town.

Additionally, there are 6 cases in Belmopan and 4 cases in Belize City.

So, overall, Orange Walk District now has seen a total of 628 confirmed positive cases; the Belize district - excluding San Pedro - has confirmed 338 positive cases, while San Pedro has 305 positive cases.

Down South, Stann Creek has seen 52 positive cases, while Toledo has confirmed 19. Out west, the Cayo district has 262 confirmed, cases, and Corozal has 233 positive cases.

We stress these are total figures, and not all active cases.

The Ministry of Health has released figures showing breakdowns for each town and village, and you can find a ling to that at our facebook page.
