Since last night, two more Belizeans have died of conditions related to COVID 19. And one of them is Thomas Garcia, the father in law of the Deputy Prime Minister Hugo Patt.
Patt says the 67-year-old had no pre-existing conditions but had been hospitalised last week Wednesday at the KHMH. And then he died unexpectedly this morning at 4:00 am. Patt told us via text message, quote, "I think people do not understand how aggressive this virus is. This is a killer."
As you may recall, the UDP's Orange Walk East candidate Elodio Aragon's mother in law also died of COVID 19 just last week.
So, Garcia becomes death #41. And death #40 was recorded yesterday. This male was referred from the Northern Regional to the KHMH when his respiratory function began to deteriorate. He had reportedly been unstable for the last 2 days.
