The majority of COVID patients do recover. Still, the question for those who have not contracted the disease is, "what's the recovery process like?"
Well it varies. Some folks bounce right back, while others report of mental fogginess, memory loss, limited mobility, and even partial blindness.
So, it seems that while only a small percentage of cases end in death, the disease can take a patient down many twists and turns on the road to recovery. I asked the acting DHS earlier today about the many manifestations of COVID:
Melissa Diaz - Acting DHS "There are many articles written about the mental component of this virus and it indeed create fogginess, forgetfulness, memory loss, depression, anxiety, all these things are known to be a component of COVID-19. We don't know who will get it, we know that there is vulnerable group which includes persons with diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and the elderly or anybody is immunu-supress would be considered a vulnerable person but with regards to the young fit healthy person, they too can also be affected and we still haven't really found out what it is that would cause somebody to get no symptoms at all and somebody to be so critical if they have no diabetes or no high blood pleasure or things like that. So the best advise that we try to really reach out to everybody is to say prevention, public health measures, using your mask, social distancing, being aware of your environment, staying focus, protect the elderly, stay focus to protect the vulnerable person at home, including pregnant women as well because pregnant women are definitely a core group. So, prevention is what we're trying to aim at in order to not get any of the complications or other problems that comes along with COVID."
