And while the COMPOL is celebrating lives saved in Santa Familia, he's also celebrating the lives of his officers that have been saved by the vaccine.
That's because of the 90% vaccination rate amongst cops. This morning the COMPOL announced that he's hoping to get to 95% by the time the new mandate comes into effect on October 1st.

"Right now, our vaccination percentage I think is well around 90%. We are one of the government departments that have one of the highest rate of vaccination and we will continue to push our officers to be vaccinated. I believe that by October 1st, we should be around 95% or higher in terms of our vaccination. Again, police officers are coming to understand the importance of it. We know that the vaccine does not make you immune from the virus, but it is helpful."
