PG Hospital Upgraded

And finally tonight, Punta Gorda has a retrofitted SMART and resilient community hospital. It's part of the European Union funded to retrofit several hospitals countrywide.

It's a project designed to improve Belize's universal healthcare system by improving infrastructure, organization, and management of Health Services.

And on Friday in PG, the Minister of Health, doctors at the hospital, and several invited guests were happy to re-open the hospital. Here's what they had to say:

The retrofitting includes the hospital's first generator which can run the facility for up to 48 hours.
