And since the secrecy of the Cabinet continues, Barrow has proposed a solution: a Senate Inquiry to lay all the chips on the table.

Shyne Barrow, Leader of the Opposition

"I am going to push the non government senators for us to come together and have a Senate inquiry on this matter where we can bring the attorney general, past and present, we can bring the minister of economic development, past and present, the minister of finance and his minister of state presently, bring them all before the Honorable House and let's get some answers so we're not speculating, we're not insinuating, we're not casting aspersions but in the absence of any definitive answers from the Minister of Finance, that is what we're left to do but I have no concern with however this thing unfolds and whatever information Mr Contreras can provide to the investigative body."

We note that under the constitution the the Senate has the power to, quote "institute and conduct enquiries and investigations on any matter of public interest and importance, including inquiries into mismanagement and corruption.." It may also "require the attendance...of any minister of government".
