President Donald Trump's Ambassador Designate Andre Bauer never did reach - and it's likely he will not, as new President Joe Biden will have his own choice for that senior diplomatic post.

But, in the meantime, Charge d Affaires, Keith Gilges is the most senior diplomat in the country and two days ago, he met with Prime Minister John Briceño for the first formal meeting since the November 20 elections.

According to a release, Prime Minister Briceno and Chargé Gilges discussed ways the United States and Belize could work together to make Belize more secure and prosperous and to defeat COVID-19.
