Martinez also had a cautionary tale about the bus he was abducted form as he and his family headed towards Tijuana, Mexico. He says he felt it was all set up with the collusion of the bus line:
Ceil Martinez, Taken By the Cartel

"The just told us go back on the bus and retrieve your luggage and I was like, why, why do I need to go back and retrieve my luggage, did I do something wrong everything I have is legit. And they were like callate, callate, go on the bus, get the bags. So I went on the bus with the other people that they took off, they retrieved thier luggage, and then they boarded us up in the same trucks and they took us."
"I mean Mexico is a very dangerous, dangerous country, very dangerous and it seems as though the cartel rules that country, that state in specific, noh. Because how in the world can tourists go through a big country like that and for a public bus to be stopped, by Cartel members and not only stopped the bus took us off, I don't even know if the bus alighted the forces in Mexico so it makes me feel that they are all in cahoots. This bus line in specific Futura elite and I mean, while I was there with the other people, you know some of them talk little English and I was asking them, you know, which bus did you come on, you know, I did my own little investigation amongst those people and they all of them told them, Futura Elite, Futura elite. So it makes me think that they either own the bus company or they are working together."
As we noted last night, Martinez is now safely in the USA seeking asylum after his family paid the nine thousand dollar ransom.
