And while that may be timed for the Belize election, the Salvador election seemed to have been timed perfectly to give Salvadorean president Nayib Bukele a commanding mandate to rule his country for another five years.

He becomes the first president to be re-elected in that country in over a hundred years - mainly because re-election is constitutionally barred. But, Bukele found a way around that - and, all the way in Belize, voters came out for him. Jules Vasquez reports on the remote voting centre in Belmopan:

Salvador has a population of over 6 million in country, but more than two million citizens were estimated to have been eligible to vote abroad.
