If you've recently applied for a US Visa, you'll know that it's already expensive at 370.00 Belize dollars. Well, thanks to US President Donald Trump's Domestic Policy Bill it's going to get a lot more expensive. Foreign visitors to the United States will now be subject to a new $250 US dollar visa integrity fee - as it is called.
The fee will have to be paid by "any foreign national who requires a nonimmigrant visa to enter the United States. That includes business visitors, vacationers, temporary workers, students and medical tourists.
Now the 500 Belize dollar fee is refundable but the details of that remain unclear.
All we know is that Travelers may be reimbursed after their trip as long as they comply with their visa's restrictions- meaning they don't overstay their time. U.S. tourist interests are opposed to the fees noting that it could be a "deterrent" for travelers.
