There are some changes to report tonight at the US Embassy in Belmopan - but still no sign of an Ambassador designate from President Donald Trump.
But there is a new Charge d'affaires. After 7 months in the job, David Hodge departed the country on Saturday. He is reported to be retiring. He officially handed over his post temporarily to Rhonda Slusher, the Deputy Chief Mission at the US Embassy. Slusher will hold over for Hodge until the new Charge Katharine Beamer arrives and takes over on August 23rd.
