And while the city's floods ran off quickly, communities across the country are still recovering from the flooding that inundated areas of the Belize and Cayo districts.

And, as usual, Taiwan is there to assist in the recovery efforts.

Yesterday, the Ambassador, Remus Li-Kuo Chen presented a grant of $100,000 US dollars to assist in the repairs of the damages caused by Hurricanes Eta and Iota.

The donation was received by Christopher Coye, Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development, and Investment. Minister Coye said that the funds would be used for the emergency repair of infrastructure that was impacted by the floods.

Flood damages have been estimated at 9 million dollars, and flood losses at 150 million dollars.
