Relief For Fire Victims

Earlier in the day, Minister Andre Perez was in Caye Caulker to meet with the 14 residents of Caye Caulker who were left homeless after a major residential fire destroyed their home at around 2 a.m. yesterday.

He told us that NEMO and the Caye Caulker community are trying to come to their aid to ease the pains of dislocation and loss:

We are informed that while Perez was out on Caye Caulker today, he visited the island's fire station. He was there to discuss the needs of the firefighters with an intention to work with the government on how best to meet those needs.
