And Good Friday saw another fire, this one on the island of San Pedro.

It destroyed a home belonging to former Minister of Tourism and Civil aviation Manuel Heredia that had been rented out to at least two tenants.

And while firefighters have chalked this fire's cause up to an electrical fault, this one at least seems to have been on the up and up.

Kenneth Mortis, Station Supervisor
"Friday afternoon shortly after 5:00 PM, the San Pedro fire department received a structural fire in the progress. They responded on arrival and observed what was a two-story place structure house engulfed in fire. As per normal, our operation commenced. we learned that this building was owned by former minister Heredia. There was a Noble who was a co-occupant of the upper portion. We learned that the fire started in the southern portion of the building which would have housed a living room slash modified bedroom. When we continued the investigation we learned that it was an electrical flaw and unfortunately for the occupants of this lost everything and they are now starting to gather themselves and start their lives over from scratch. We have no information as to whether that was ensured or not. I am still awaiting the final piece of the puzzle from my guys over in San Pedro."

The residents of the home lost everything.
