And concerns expected to be resolved and settled within the coming year includes the formation of a National Bus company. The Prime Minister says he acknowledges the need for an upgrade and a change when it comes to our public transportation system.

John Briceno, Prime Minister
"We hope it is going to come into effect next year. I don't know if it is January, but next year. I think we need to commend minister Zabaneh, he has been doing a lot of consultations and even looking at how we can bring in these modern electricity ran buses to be able to reduce our carbon footprint, to be able to reduce the cost of moving passengers across the country and also to give the passengers a good ride and let them ride in comfort. Because I have been saying it for the longest: it is unfair to passengers getting into these old buses that you know you get dusty, you get wet, they break down you know? So this is a good change. A positive change for Belize."
