We know what government is going to do but what about the unions? Well nobody knows quite yet. Government will tomorrow exercise their reserved right to implement the taxes. But will the unions do the same with their reserved right to protest? We ask the TUC's Zenaida Moya.

Zenaida Moya,
"We have a meeting after this press conference. I cannot just say for a fact. All I can say is many might want us to proceed on that matter but that is something that PUC has to decide on as a group."

"Worse case scenario, lets say nothing has been reached at the 11th hour tonight, what happens tomorrow? What do you do? We will pay higher taxes on the shelves tomorrow but what is your course of action? Mr. Frazer you want to tell me?"

George Frazer, NTUCB General Secretary
"In terms of that we would not like to speculate at this time. We are and have been negotiation in good faith and we always hold out that there is hope in terms of working out something?"

That Trade Union Council meeting is scheduled for 7 tonight. The TUC was represented on the Budget Working Group by Zenaida Moya, Victor Recinos, and Jeffrey Perriot. Government's team was headed by Financial Secretary Dr. Carla Barnett. They have committed to going ahead with the increment in salaries for all teachers and public servants. Also, the government commits to reviewing the budget at the end of every month and leaving tax measures open to change - if they are over performing in any one areas.
