Just 10 minutes ago the BNTU's Council of Management comprising representatives from all district branches ended a meeting. The council was convened to decide whether it would launch a national strike to force the resignation of the Prime Minister and the government. While initial reports are that there will be a strike that is unofficial. The unofficial position was declared to Alfonso Noble by BNTU President Anthony Fuentes a few minutes ago. Presently the BNTU is presenting its position to the umbrella organization the NTUCB.
