He is the President of the Public Service Union but Dylan Reneau is also a public officer. And just like any other public servant Reneau is subject to be transferred, which is just what has happened to the outspoken union leader.

Reneau confirmed to 7NEWS today that as of Monday May 16th, he is supposed to report for work at the sub-treasury in Punta Gorda. Reneau is returning to work on Monday because for the past year he was the full-time President of the PSU. But that secondment was only for a year. When the year was up, Reneau was informed that he has to return to work but not in Corozal where he lives. Instead he was told he'd have to pack up and move to PG. Reneau today told us the secondment was for one year in the first instance and it was the government who decided not to extend it. Government has said it was incumbent on Reneau to re-apply and that he failed to do so.

Reneau today refused to say if he will report to work on Monday in Punta Gorda - that one is a wait and see. He also says he hasn't decided if he'll seek re-election as PSU President at their annual convention next month in Dangriga.
