PSU President Dylan Reneau was scheduled to report to work today at the Punta Gorda branch of the Treasury Department but he didn't and with good reason.
From his home at the other extreme end of the country in Corozal, Reneau told 7NEWS that he is officially on sick leave. Reneau told us he hasn't been feeling well lately and he was given leave until Sunday by a doctor. Reneau says he has sought legal advice and will challenge the decision of the Public Services Commission to ship him south. He says he will try and resolve the issue not only for himself but he says he will set a precedent for future PSU presidents. Reneau believes he is being punished for speaking out against the government. That he says is why his secondment to fulltime president of the PSU wasn't renewed and why he was sent to the deep south.
