Last night we showed you the opening of the Barry Bowen financed Boca del Rio Bridge in San Pedro and examined all the political implications of that. But despite Barry Bowen's open endorsement of the UDP slate, PUP supporters remain hopeful that they can unseat the incumbent UDP town council. In a town where conventional political wisdom has never applied, we found out why the PUP is hopeful.
Rt. Hon. Said Musa,
"Don Alberto is a honest hardworking gentleman, a real gentleman that is well loved by the people here in San Pedro. I wouldn't be surprised if we do win here in San Pedro and I think we have a good chance."
Hon. Manuel Heredia,
"People are fed up with central government, their corruption and what they have done, life is harder than before and come March 1st Jules definitely it will be a bigger victory than last time."
Don Alberto Nunez, PUP Mayoral Candidate
"It looks positive to us, we've been working on it and it seems positive to us."
Elsa Paz, Current Mayor
"We the UDP town council, we are here in San Pedro to make progress. We believe in progress and we don't believe in promises, action talks Jules."
