The UDP has added to the stew by re-iterating its demand for the Prime Minister to resign. A UDP statement says that Monday's PUP Parliamentary Caucus still failed to support the guarantee as signed by the Prime Minister in December of 2004 and to the Opposition, that enforced that he did it without Cabinet approval, so, the Opposition says, he must still resign.
The party maintains that the guarantee will go to the National Assembly, and at that point Deputy Prime Minister John Briceno and others who took a public stand against the guarantee must either vote in favour of it and be exposed as what the party calls "frauds", or vote against it - and by the UDP reasoning, be forced to resign because they cannot stand with the Prime Minister.
