Christine Perriot wants BTL boss Dean Boyce jailed for contempt of court and this afternoon her attorney Lois Young told Justice John Muria why Boyce belongs in prison. But the developments began this morning when BTL's appeal challenging Justice Muria's decision to order the temporary reinstatement of Christine Perriot was heard. The appeal was however adjourned until after Justice Muria hears and rules on Christine Perriot's application for contempt of court against Boyce.

Her attorney Lois Young made a 2 hour long submission this afternoon with three main points: one is that BTL has not reinstated Perriot in accordance with the court's order; two: there is no evidence that they can't find work for her to do at BTL; and three: that BTL purposefully refused to follow the court's order. BTL's attorney Andrew Marshalleck will reply on Thursday.

But perhaps the most newsworthy development today is that Lois Young convinced Justice Muria to strike out three paragraphs of an affidavit from BTL Director Keith Arnold which Justice Muria ruled were scandalous and irrelevant. In the affidavit, Arnold writes that Lois Young has made racially bias statements and she has political ambitions. Heavy charges, but those statements are out. It's a small victory but one Perriot is celebrating.

Christine Perriot,
"In a statement by Keith Arnold, Lois had asked for paragraphs 11, 12, and 13 to be struck out and the Judge granted those are to be struck. 10,11,12, and 13 she asked for and the Judge granted that 11, 12, and 13 on the grounds that they are scandalous, irrelevant, and I don't quite remember the word but on that ground."

Keith Swift,
What was contained in those statements.

Christine Perriot,
"They were talking about Lois that she has political agenda, this is my interpretation, that she has political agenda and she is bias and then like she is influencing me to make this decision to single out Dean Boyce. But Lois isn't telling me what to do, I hired Lois to do my work. That is what you do with lawyers, you hire them and you tell them what you want. She only acts on what I am telling her and then she gives legal advice. At no time did Lois come and say, 'you need to do this and you need to do that and if you do this, this is.' At no time she did that so I think she did very well. I am proud of her. She did very well. The way she put it across, I had that same belief when I first saw the affidavit. I was asking why are these in here, this has nothing to do with me and for me, in my opinion, it is like she is fighting my case so why are they bringing things up about Lois in my case. The case is about me and BTL, not me Lois and BTL."

The case has been adjourned to Thursday when Dean Boyce's attorney will reply to Lois Young's application.
