The National Trade Union Congress of Belize today said it has rejected the report of Commissioner Herbert Lord - and in a letter to the Prime Minister is asking him to do likewise. The NTUCB says that the Commission has not concluded its work since the principals of Novelo's and Universal Health Services have not testified. The union also stressed to the PM that the agreement signed with the union on February 11th called for a "report." According to the union, Lord's report doesn't qualify as the report.

We should note that in the final meeting of the commission which was held on June 8th, the minutes show that both commissioners, Merlene Bailey-Martinez and Herbert Lord, conceded it would be fruitless waiting for testimony from outstanding witnesses since under the law they weren't compelled to testify.
