And referring to government's decision to post the Lord report on the internet one week ago, Godfrey claims it has affected his international business dealings. And because of that, he says he's seeking advice on whether he should sue the Prime Minister and company for libel.

Glen Godfrey,
"I am consulting attorneys in the U.S. with a view to bringing legal action against several people."

Michael Finnegan,
"Who are those people?"

Glen Godfrey,
"Well right now I think Said Musa, not the Prime Minister, but Said Musa, and Mr. Bobby Leslie, Mr. Lord, the forensic auditor Mr. Hulse."

Of course, it's only fitting that Godfrey should now be making vague threats to sue the Prime Minister, because the Prime Minister has been doing the same to Godfrey for months. In fact, over one year ago on July 18, 2006, the Prime Minister said in an official statement, "government will now actively seek legal advice on proceeding with civil action to recover all loan payments outstanding, particularly as it relates to the Glenn Godfrey group of companies." As we said, that was 372 days ago, and government still has not taken any case to court, so we assume it was just one of those blithe executive remarks that seemed like a good idea at the time.
