It slipped under the radar but a release posted on the People’s National Party website announced that on October 1st Toledo’s PNP, Corozal’s We the People Reform Movement, and Roaring Creek’s Christian Pursuing Reform parties agreed to join forces and contest the general election under one banner.
Their candidates will contest the election under the banner of the National Belizean Alliance. A retreat is planned for next Sunday in Roaring Creek. The release says that the group first met following the peace rally by the Mother’s Organized for Peace. At that meeting Will Maheia was elected the party leader, Hipolito Bautista as General Secretary, Richard Smith as spiritual leader, and Dionicio Choc as Ambassador for indigenous affairs.
