Both UDP and PUP recently signed unto a code of political conduct - and it speaks specifically about not defacing signs and installations. But what if an installation - like a lamp-post is already defaced with a political sign? Then would it be wrong to further deface that sign? That would probably be a thief - thief - from - thief situation - making it doubly wrong - two negatives, which in the worlds of crime, politics, and math, make it right.

Its notable in this case, because after the UDP painted portions of lamp-posts across the city red, the PUP responded by painting under the sign blue - and for a flourish - proceeded to write fire under the UDP lettering - turning a blank abbreviation into a simple sentence, as in "UDP fire." Not to be outmatched, UDP friendly forces have in some areas added a preposition, to again wrangle out the meaning, "UDP on fire" - which though reasonably clever - is neither here nor there.
