And while we had him today - we also pressed the Prime Minister to discuss the situation with former UDP Mayor Zenaida Moya.

As we've reported, her above-water restaurant project at the mouth of the Belize River has been put on hold - but no one knows by whom.

The city council, the department of the environment and the port authority all signed off on it - but word was, that Cabinet rejected it.

We asked the PM today - who said it's not as simple as that:

Jules Vasquez
"Is there some executive block that has been put on this venture?"

Prime Minister Dean Barrow - Prime Minister of Belize

"No, there is no executive block. I think such permits that she did obtain were not the proper permits. I don't know that there is anything to stop her from coming back to the Ministry of Natural Resources. She would need to have a lease of the seabed kind of thing. The fact that the judiciary has made it absolutely clear that it is against the placing of that restaurant in that area, is no doubt something that the Ministry of Natural Resources will have to pay keen attention to. And I will leave it at that."
