The PUP won four out of five seats in Corozal, voting out former Area Rep for Corozal Bay, Pablo Marin. Marin accepted defeat and gave our correspondents a farewell interview.

Pablo Marin - Former UDP Area Rep "Well we consider that maybe people wanted a change, they want to see what's happening with the other party. We can say that the people said, this is it, maybe the COVID situation of the country right now can put them in this position. If you can bear with me when I'm talking, I don't have any bad feelings for the people of Corozal. I am proud of what I did and that's why I think I feel this way. The next thing, my colleague Hilberto Campus has done tremendous in the 4 terms that he was elected as mayor and I know that he can do the same that I have been doing. I hope that he can take my seat, I will support him fully."
Marin had represented Corozal Bay since 2008.
