Prime Minister John Briceno's Cabinet took shape today at his political office in Belize City, and just released is the official leaked document to tell you who's in charge of what.

It will be a 17 member Cabinet plus an Attorney General.

First off, PM Briceno will be in charge of Finance, Economic Development and Investment, with two ministers of state, party treasurer Chris Coye and Toledo East Representative Mike Espat. This second move is seen as an accommodation to Espat - who has long opposed Coye's ascendancy.

National deputy Cordel Hyde, as expected, will be the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining.

Northern Deputy Jose Mai will have the portfolio for Agriculture, Food Security, & Enterprise.

Southern Deputy Rodwell Ferguson is in charge of Public Utilities & the very vague 'Logistics."

Western Deputy Julius Espat is in charge of Infrastructure Development & Housing.

Former Leader Francis Fonseca returns to Education, with the addition of Culture, Science & Technology. Doctor Louis Zabaneh will be his Minister of state.

Former soldier Florencio Marin will be the minster of National Defence & Border Security with another former soldier, Oscar Mira as his Minister of State.

Toledo west's Oscar Requeña will be the Minister of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour & Local Government.

Dolores Balderamos Garcia returns to her former Ministry of Human Development, witht he addition of Families & Indigenous Peoples' Affairs. Gilroy Usher will be her ministe rof state.

Kareem Musa will be the minister of Home Affairs & New Growth Industries. Cayo northeast's Landy Habet. Will be the minister of Sustainable Development, Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management

And former Orange Walk Mayor Kevin Bernard will be the minister of Youth, Sports & E-Governance

And attorney Michel Chebat will take on the portfolio for Health & Wellness, while

Former BTB senior Manager Anthony Mahler will take on Tourism & Diaspora Relations.

San PEdro's Andre Perez will have the very interesting "Blue Economy" portfolio and Civil Aviation

And Henry Charles Usher will be in charge of Public Service, Constitutional & Political Reform.

And, senator Minister Eamon Courtenay will hold Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade & Immigration. He was a central part of the probe into immigration irregularities under the UDP.

And Magali Marin Young SC, will take the seat as the Attorney General - which does not have to be Brough in through the senate.

In total, 17 ministers, one Attorney general and 8 ministers of state who can also sit in Cabinet - meaning a very full house of 26 seats in the big room in Belmopan.

So much for executive economy.

Ambassador Stuart Leslie will serve as Cabinet Secretary and Chief of Staff.
