Again, those out of Denise "Sister B" Barrow's camp insist she just didn't get the memo. They also confirm though that she is not stepping down.
And, indeed, it must be some mix-up - because Faber can hardly hope to have any success by alienating his very thin opposition line of only 5 members.
Today, he discussed with PlusTV the message they got from the electorate:
Hon. Patrick Faber, Opposition Leader
"But I think it is clear from the speaking against you the ballot on Wednesday that we need to do very serious as a party, we need to reflect on what we've done that may have worked and what we have done that certainly did not work and we need to rebuild and we need to refocus so that we are razor sharp whenever it is put to the test again for the people's confidence to again come back to the UDP."

"Do you believe that the results of the general elections is an indication of what we may see in the municipal elections, perhaps a blue wave?"
Hon. Patrick Faber, Opposition Leader
"Well, we've seen where that can go either way. I've seen where people have said well let's give the party that's in government especially so recently elected an opportunity to govern everything, but I have seen where the work that a political party has done at the municipal level has also impressed the municipality that they say you know what this is working for us, lets stick to it. I am hoping that in terms of the latter that I said that that will be the case for those municipalities that are currently UDP and of course people are pleased with the work that they are doing and this opposition party, the UDP is by no means dead. We have a suffered a temporary setback with these elections, but we can assure you that we will have full slates in all of these municipal elections. This party is not going to roll over and die, we are in fact the opposite, alive and kicking and you will see that every step of the way from today going forward."

"Some have referred the defeat as the United Democratic Party being crushed, obliterated, completely defeated. Is this any indication of your ability to lead? Is this somewhat of a report card on your leadership ability?"
Hon. Patrick Faber, Opposition Leader
"I laugh at that because that could never be the case and I remind people and maybe enlighten those younger folks who might have not remember that the UDP was in the very same position back in 1998 when we only won 3 of the then 29 seats and the PUP had the very same number of 26. So this is not something that is new for the UDP. In fact it is almost now a cycle. We saw the PUP take much longer to regain the confidence of the Belizean people and the said leader from back in 2008 it would have been John Briceno now is the prime minister."
