You've been hearing the rumours for weeks, government assets including equipment and furniture sold off on the cheap - and perhaps, most infamously, claims of Prado's and other high priced government vehicles sold off to former Ministers and C.E.O. 's at fire-sale prices. It was at the top of the agenda at the new government's first Public Service Union meeting this morning.

And it was at this meeting that the union was informed of the Cabinet's decision to launch a full investigation into the sell-off of government assets by the previous administration. It's an investigation that the Public Service Union, as the arm of government that would have facilitated these transactions, has consented to join in on.

Moving forward, the inquiry will also include representatives of the Ministry of Finance, The Attorney General's Ministry, the Ministry of the Public Service and the private sector.
